Honesty and Entrepreneurship
A friend and I were talking the other day. She knows I have a burning desire to become an entrepreneur (not a wealthy get me a mansion kinda of wealth but just being able to quite my night job kinda wealth.)
Me: My promotional products business just is not taking off like I would like it to.
Friend: That's because you don't lie.
Me: No I don't lie.
Friend: That's the problem! How many times have you went to a restaurant and they promised its the best food you will every taste, and it's not. How many times have you been to a dealership and you don't wind up getting the car you would like to get. You have got to learn to lie at the drop of a hat. (snap, snap)
Me: (Thinking to myself) If lying is the only way to get business then maybe business is not for me. There has got to be a way to put honesty and entrepreneurship together.
For all you entrepreneurs do you feel that sometimes you might have to stretch the truth to get a sale.

Hope, Change, Inspiration
As you all know I work late nights. Last night when I came home from work my husband fell asleep with the TV on as usual. Usually I turn it off an go straight to bed but there was an awesome movie on last night. The movie was called Dinosaurus! This was one of the greatest movies I have seen in a long time. Yes it is a kids movie but sometimes theses movies are more interesting than an adult movie. Anyway this movie inspires Hope, Change, and working together to find a better place. It takes place a million years ago with the great migration of dinosaurus. It's shows how if we all work together no one will get left behind. Sometimes we even need to show our enemies that change is what we need in order for us all to survive. With the elections just passing us and President Obama instilling Hope and Change in us I know that this will be a good movie that we can go back and watch with our children so 1.)they can understand the meaning of our new Presidents message 2.) our children can really know what working together is. Again this is a great movie and I plan to show this movie to my children during family movie night to inspire them and I also know that this would be a great movie for your children.
Please excuse the redecoration ya'll. I did not feel comfortable with the way the site looked. So bare with me.

Virtual Vacant Lots
Did she say, Virtual Vacant Lots.
Yes, I said Virtual Vacant Lots. This is probably not the technical term but it is the term that I am going to use.
You have the Internet and on the Internet you own a portion which is ultimately your web address (virtual estate) because you have to buy this domain name and you buy so much bandwidth to host this domain name right. Great we understand each other so far. Virtual Vacant Lots, wow, I am still new to the blogging game, so I searched and searched the Internet on how layouts should be, see if anyone else is talking about what I am interested in talking about on my blog without stepping on toes, ya know. It seems like every time I look for a new blogger club network ( Not that I don't love Mom Blogger Club, love them!) But just to meet other people and branch out there. These other clubs have maybe 100 members and no one has posted in the network for at least a year, so that means that site is going no where and fast a VIRTUAL VACANT LOT. There are other times when you're just searching for other blogs that look interesting and get there read a good article but it was posted back in 2007 and when you go to the home page it has not been updated since 2007. VIRTUAL VACANT LOT! Are you experiencing the same things? I am running into a lot of vacant websites or blog. Who every owns the Internet, or the server that these sites are on or what have you needs to do one big cleansing to get all those vacant lots out the way or quite trying to sell them for thousands of dollars because of the unique name instead sell them for pennies on the dollar so we can buy up some of the precious space and do something useful with it.
These virtual vacant lots may also be a goldmine in disguise. How you ask. Well say that you are having a hard time saying what you have to say on your site. You find a virtual vacant lot and it has a very nice article that you could probably elaborate on or maybe even pick the site up from where it left off. Contact the owner or who is hosting the site ask them to sell the site to you for x amount of dollars. The site already has the traffic that you are looking for, the page ranks that you need, now it just needs someone to operate it and take it to that next level. It is the same in cyberspace as it is in the real world. Buy a piece of property and flip it.
Congratulations Barack Obama!
I did not blog post yesterday. I did not go to work yesterday. Yesterday was a moment in history I did not want to miss a minute of. I missed everything else because of working all night and sleeping all day. I did not want to miss one minute of the counting of the votes. I knew that Senator Obama would become President-elect Obama. I knew in my heart that it was truly time for change. I know alot of people are asking the question of President-elect Obama what are you going to do now. When instead we should be asking him the question: What do you want us to do now to help you change the USA because change is not just done with one person it takes all of us to put forth the effort to build a better place for you and me.
Proud American.

Blog Roll Shout Out!
Keeping up with your blog roll is a very difficult but rewarding thing. I say difficult because some many blogs are so good you get caught up reading all the good stuff they have in their blogs and don't leave time to focus on your own personal blog. It is rewarding because if you are commenting you receive blog love back. What is a good number of blogs to keep in your blog roll. I haven't figured out yet. You want to show everyone love but when you have more than twenty five it gets time consuming. Right now I only have a few in my blog roll not by choice but because of the time that I do have. The Meaning of My Journey!
Life's journey for me is the ups and the downs and I have got to get a handle on the downs before it drives me into the nut house. During these downs I know that is God asking me are you ready, are you going to let Me do what I am suppose to do for you. So today I am saying Yes Lord, I have the faith to let You guide my journey of life as long as I can keep what matters to me most my family.

How to get things done.
Ok, I have got to stop reading so many blogs. They are all so beautiful. I get caught up in the blogs and leaving comments that I forget that I have to work. The most important thing I have learned so far on setting up a blog. Keep it simple. For me it is easier to read. You find a lot of information even if there is not much to look at. Brilliant!

Baby Step 2
I am on my way. Now I'm going to let you ladies know that I work all night at my full time job. I get up by 6:45 am Monday thru Friday because my son has to catch the bus by 7:20 am. By this time I have only had maybe two and a half hours sleep. Then I wait until about 8:00 am to wake up the other two boys. So mama is tired. But I want to share with you ladies that I am determined to make this happen. On my other blog How Does Mama Look? I have spent the last 3 hours trying to figure out how to put an add in my side bar. I have finally got it to link. Now that I am thinking about it I did not get it to open in a new window. I will fix that later. But I am so proud of myself. Yea! It took a lot of finagling (hope I spelled that right) but it works. Before I start posting in How Does Mama Look? I want to make sure that the layout is exactly like I want it. Or maybe I am just procrastinating! But I would really like your advice on how I could probably increase my speed of getting everything up. Should I make a point to post one post and one ad and one blog to follow everyday? Let me know please leave comments!

Baby Steps
As you can see from the last post I am still learning. However I came up with the idea of doing a mama blog about women that stopped doing for themselves and started doing everything for their kids. (Which by all means you are suppose to). But our kids are going up. They are fixing their own lunch, making their own breakfast, picking out their own clothes now. Bathing themselves (except for my 10 yr old son, I told him if I smelled him one more time I was going to wash his azz myself). So I started on my journey to find the perfect template for my blog. I already have the perfect name: How Does Mama Look. Now the template. I searched high and low for the perfect theme. Then I came across a mom blog called Exocit Mommies' Pregnancy and Parenting, this is a great site has a great layout and has a lot of useful information. While looking around I noticed that Candy James designed free templates at Candy's Free Blogger Templates. You should visit both sites because they are great. I was so excited about the free template that I got I just had to share with everyone. So there you have it my first baby step. To be continued.........on to my next step.

Shoes you can design for your skateboarder
Build and customize your own etnies shoes. My nephew came to me the other day showing me his new shoes. His shoes had his name on it and customized colors. He told me he found a website online and made them. He loves these shoes. He shows them off with many different outfits because of the customized colors. At Etnies.com you can customize shoes for your skateboarder. They also offer free ground shipping.

Journey to my success! Posting first.
This blog is about the journey to my success. I truly have the passion and the drive to be an entrepreneur. I want to accomplish first starting a blog. This blog will be about my road to the top. It will show my determination. I want to be able to use the blog and find a legitimate business that I could love. I will ask your advice and hope that you respond back to me so I will not make bad choices. When I find great information I will definitely share the wealth of information. I don't want to go broke discovering my self. I want to make conscious decisions with proper guidance. I have attended a leadership conference and at that conference they said that if you need help; just ask. They say that people are more willing to help than you think. If this is true I will tell you about this great conference I went to, because I want to share the wealth.
My first question: How to get other content onto this blog?

Love Thy Neighbor!
My boys love to play outside! Yea! they are only half couch potato. They do what normal kids do. They play soccer, football, basketball and the occasional hide and seek. How beautiful it is (you would think). I have a neighbor and he is I would say about 100 yrs old. This man tells me and my husband that my kids can not play outside in MY yard. What kind of B.S. is this. Last I checked I was the one paying the mortgage and property taxes over here. Ya feel me! He goes on to say that my beautiful little angels are disturbing his wife who is sick. His wife comes outside everyday and tends to her garden. Tell me how sick is she? (I don't know) When no one is around this crazy old man tells my kids that he is going to call the police on them. Tell me who does that to a 11, 10, and 6 yr old. Now this is just not right, I mean for God's sake they are children. He is scarring my babies to death thinking they are going to go to jail for playing outside. I of course being the good neighbor tell my kids to mind him because after all "love thy neighbor". So we move our kids from the front yard to the backyard and low and behold who goes to his backyard to sit and watch my kids waiting for them to get loud or kick a ball at his fence. This man tells my husband that the kids are ruining his fence by kicking their soccer ball. The ball does hit the fence of course if someone scores a goal. Tell me the purpose of a fence. I thought to keep things that don't belong to you or things that should not be in your yard out of your yard, right. Well then I believe the fence is serving its purpose by keeping my kids balls out of his yard. If I hear shhhhh.... one mo time and I am not the one saying it to my children it will be "War of the Roses" at my house. FOR REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Very First Post!!!!!! I am so excited!!!!!!
This is my very first blog post. I am truly excited! I hope that makes me a mom blogger now. Well I know not so fast. I plan to make this experience the best that I can. I want to first start out by introducing myself.
I am married to the most wonderful man I could have ever prayed for. He cooks, he cleans, he helps with the kids, he goes to work every day rain or shine, sick or tired he is still at work. (My hard working hunny). Oh yea, he drinks like a fish but it's okay he's home, right ladies!
My children, where do I begin. They are so funny and great sometimes. To start I have a 6yr old son his name is Jaden, he's the baby. He is spoiled rotten, has never been punished (I haven't decided yet if he should be, he is just to cute). Takes after his mama!!!
Then there is my oldest, he is 11 about to be 12 yrs old. Someone please help. I think he is going thru that pre teen stage, you know the smacking the lips and slamming doors and talking under his breath. But I can't fault him for that its about that time for him. Now he is not at all bad, he makes straight A's, can draw very well, and he's also a cutie that takes after his mama! Got these little girls calling my house at 1:00 am in the morning are they crazy?
Now here goes my middle son. He is my sweet little hardheaded trouble maker. He just turned 10 yrs old. He is great at football, soccer, and doing the opposite of what I tell him. He has asthma and we are trying to get him to understand that it is a condition that he really needs to take care of because he is getting older and has to be aware of when he is sick and not to take it to lightly. I know he is only ten but he knows when he is sick and we should not have to tell him that he is coughing to much or when he needs to blow his nose. But he keeps going and stuggles to be a normal kid. Which by all means he is doing his best.
I also have a step daughter that lives in Alabama. Now being the only female in the house it is a pleasure when she comes and visits during the summer months. I finally get to do the girly things every mother wants to do. We go shopping, talk about boys (which I never tell her father because he would probably be the next one having a baby). I try to be the cool step mom but also let her understand that I am still the mom and somethings I don't think I'm old enough to hear certain things, yet. She is 14 yrs old and it is scary.
Now I know I didn't tell you much about me but they are me. Everything I do revolves around these wonderful people. I guess there is more to me than these guys. Let me think...........
I enjoy reading. Love reading! In my spare time I collect books, read them, then sell them on Half.com at http://shops.half.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?HalfSearch&seller=jbaby.123. I am also a promotional products advisor. I specialize in advertising specialties. I help businesses promote themselves by keeping their logo in customers hands. Promotional advertising is one of the oldest and still greatest forms of word of mouth advertising. To see products that I offer go to my website www.E-Logo-Online.com . I also work full time at night. I am a licensed insurance agent. I sell, counsel, advise and do all that I am told regarding car insurance. I really don't like to bring up car insurance to much because people hate having it. I try to explain to people even though I hate having it too I know that in the event of an accident I am fully insured. I don't have to worry about anyone suing me or trying to take what I don't have so either pay the premium or pay the price later.
You guys this has been a wonderful experience for me. I kinda got this feeling inside of euphoria. I know that this blog is my way of taking the weight off of my shoulders and sharing it with you. Since this is my first time I'm not sure how I should end it. So I'm just going to say: "Promo your family, Promo your business, Promo your opinions: Promo Mama!"
